Happy Almost Thanksgiving!! My wise mom had her quiet time the other morning, and the devotion for the day encouraged the reader to write down all of her hopes of the past and the hopes for her future. She started writing down every time she had hoped for something in her past. She said, “Most of the hopes became answers to prayer later in my life.” My mom also realized why it was good some of her hopes didn’t happen. This really sparked something inside of me. She now has her hopes listed and promises from scripture tied to each one. I thought this was a perfect time of year to do this same exercise. It helps us to focus on what God had done and His faithfulness. Out of this busy season, we can stop, reflect, be hopeful and thankful. Give it a whirl and share your list with your family this week as you enjoy time with one another.images
